Women's Wellness in Kettering

When I started my women's wellness session in the autumn of 2023, I knew it would be a slow grower. Despite knowing deeply that these sessions are so needed, I also realised it would be challenging to sum up what to expect at these sessions. They are definitely not a fitness class; they are more of a work-in than a workout. And we women are so busy that it can be difficult to set aside time for ourselves unless there is a palpable ‘end result’.

This group isn’t about weight loss or toning up; it isn’t about flexibility of the body. It is about having a safe space, a weekly touchstone, a pause in the week to turn within and connect with ourselves.

During our gatherings, I create a nurturing environment for a small group to come together, fostering mutual support, sharing, and personal growth. Together, we explore our natural cycles and rekindle a sense of harmony amid today's fast-paced, non-stop world.

For women of all ages, our sessions usually include:

🤝 Topic-based discussions and sharing time

📔 Journaling/creative tasks

🕯 Meditation and mindfulness exercises

A bit about what I bring to the sessions

I've been immersed in the practice of yoga since my childhood and began teaching in March 2022 after training for two years with David Cosserat at Inner Healing School of Yoga (highly recommended). My profound passion for yoga, meditation, and breathwork stems from my personal experience with it as a therapeutic, holistic journey that can heal the mind, body, and spirit. I'm always learning and developing my skills, and I love sharing my love for nature, philosophy, and mindful practices within our sessions.

Aside from my dedication to yoga, I have a diverse background. I've trained in various holistic therapies and acquired skills in mental health first aid, cyclical living, ayurvedic nutrition, life coaching, counselling level 2, and trauma-informed theory.

If this interests you, come along. Ideally, we would all meet every week, but this isn’t an obligation. Come as often as you can and as often as you need to. Bring a friend or come alone and free yourself for an hour.

Update October 2024

These beautiful sessions are now free with the option to donate towards my venue costs and have been renamed 'Pause The Week.' The format remains the same, and we welcome newcomers with open arms. If you click here, you will see some of the topics we have covered so far.
